12 Apostles - 1-14-12

A little fence jumping to take in the sights never hurt anyone.

Artsy fartsy.
Loaded up in a van that looked like it should be driving along a Pakistani country road, or something, we took off for the 12 Apostles along the Great Ocean Road bright and early for a day full of touring,  Packed in we took off for a 3 or so hour drive to reach the 12 Apostles, stopping at several points along the way to take in the sights, have a snack, or just get a break from the confines of our ride.  Reminiscent of the California coastal highway, you could drive for mile along the Great Ocean Road and find yourself nothing less than content with simply taking in the views.  Pictures do this one much more than words ever could.

Love a landscape that makes you look like an ant.

Matt getting some shut eye on the bus.

expressing our...feelings for a sub par meal.

Really wanted to go out there...
Sketchy and awesome.

Coooozy

Awesome.

Loved this guy.

Private beach?

Sea wig.

Nice little family in front of the Great Ocean Road sign.

Perfect farm to work on.

Some lady at the 12 Apostles.

I don't count 12...

Just enough room for a cabin.

Dually noted, briefly ignored.

Doesn't do it justice.

Roger was the only thing keeping me from jumping this particular fence.

Now that's a beach.

Incredible cove.

Group shot with some strangers.

Shot of a few of the guys walking the beach.

Pervert Italians.

War Eagle baby.

Long day full of tons of sights.  Definitely a must see if one ever visits Victoria.  Happened to meet some girls from the small town along the Great Ocean Road that we stopped to eat in.  Crazy to relate such a picturesque town to someone we now know.  This is a great country.

Cheers.

  1. Although we saw some great sights, that makeshift van was absolutely awful. Also, glad you didn't FALL off the cliff and DIE. I guess your pictures would not have turned out as great if you followed the rules. I guess that's the reason for my boring life.
